FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PRESERVING THE INTEGRITY OF THE MUSTACHE ONMILWAUKEE.COM AND CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION FUND MILWAUKEE, WI - A group of young Milwaukeeans is bringing back the mustache. The best part, we're doing it for charity. Mustaches for Milwaukee is a call out to Wisconsin's most rambunctious. We're not growing goatees, beards or sideburns . . . instead, OnMilwaukee.com has teamed with the Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Fund for the first ever Mustaches for Milwaukee. "You don't see a whole lot of 20 and 30-something guys growing mustaches these days. Even in Milwaukee, the mustache is somewhat of a lost art. Many think the 'stache is reserved for assistant basketball coaches, 70s TV stars, police officers, dads and substitute teachers. We say, no -- let's grow," said Andy Tarnoff, one of the owners of OnMilwaukee.com and an aspiring mustache grower. "We feel that we have created an event that will not only be a lot of fun, but one that Milwaukee can truly embrace," said soon to be mustached Jason Parry. "We are optimistic that this will create a buzz in the city and help to benefit a truly worthwhile cause," added Parry. From February 15 - April 9, all willing participants will have their chance to give back to their community by joining us for 54 days of mustache growing. All participants are encouraged to actively seek donations during this seven-week period to benefit the Child Abuse Prevention Fund. "We are honored to be chosen as the charity of Mustaches for Milwaukee," said Kathy Ehley, Executive Director of the CAP Fund. "It is a great way to bring an element of fun to raising money and awareness for child abuse prevention."
